Abstract

This paper is mainly intended to provide an efficient system to monitor pick-up/drop-off of school children and enhance the safety of school children during their everyday travel from and to the school. The system Comprises of three main units, a bus unit, a school unit and Parent unit. Firstly, bus unit is the system used to authenticate when a child gets in/out of the bus. This information is further communicated to the school and their Parents, that identifies which of the children did not board or leave the bus and issues an alert message accordingly. This also has various support features that take care of children’s safety while the journey. It also comprises of integrated system that facilities its management and provides useful information about the children to authorized personal. This particular system functionality promises to give good results with respect to the objective laid out for daily transportation safety.
